Today’s prompt and image come from the gorgeous Sophie Appleby aka Her Library Adventures. Sophie is also the co-creator of Wilde Asher, a powerful collection of talismans handmade with her mum and sister. To soak in Sophie’s world is to wander in the dusk picking fragrant gum leaves; savour afternoon tea of freshly baked bread and an exotic pot of tea; snuggle in front of the open fire with a crocheted blankie, journal and quill.
Sophie writes:
In the busyness of the everyday, taking time to nourish the soul doesn’t reach the top of the ‘to do’ list as often as it should.
What nourishes your soul? How would you like to incorporate more of this into your life in 2015?
Dear friends,
You know I LOVE this yummy prompt!
What nourishes my soul?
My Nourishing To Do List:
My morning cup of tea – aaahhhhh
Yoga
Meditation/Morning Prayers
InterPlay! InterPlay! More InterPlay!
Daily Creative Practice (which includes blogging)
Great conversations with friends – especially on the front porch!
Connecting with Mother Earth/Nature
My weekly Zumba date with Joe
Hugs – especially from my kids 🙂
Daily Gratitudes
A great book & a hot bath at the end of the day!
I’m sure I missed a few things like noticing beauty (and getting a picture of it) and retreats, and…
What nourishes your soul?
Wrapping you around with infinite love and gentleness,
Christine

17 years ago today Alexandria Lynn (Alex) made her grand entrance into the world!
She’s super creative (the credit for this year’s holiday card goes to her it will be revealed soon), funny, smart and she has a beautiful heart – Happy Happy Birthday Alex – we are so glad that you were born and so lucky to call you our daughter! This is the ornament that has my eyes leaking a little ever year when I place it on the tree – she’s now taller than me 😉
LOVE your nourishment list! And love your tender memories of your daughter – can't wait to see what the holiday card she inspired looks like =)
HOORAY to more nourishment and InterPlay for YOU!
Thanks Monika! I'm going to "publish" it next week 🙂 and Yes! Yes! Yes! To more reading and yummy nourishment for both of us in 2015!
Love your list. Similar to what works for me though I have yet to try Zumba. I wandered into a PiYo class recently thinking it was Zumba. Was quite tough & not nourishing. Now I'm afraid to try Zumba. 🙂
Lily
I just caught up with you after reading your comment on my post. It's incredible to me how something so wide-spread can still be so close. Your responses also resonate with me. Glad to meet you! =)
Lily – We love Zumba! I have found that through repetition I am getting more graceful 🙂 My husband is awesome at it and it's super fun! Just go and have a good time 🙂
Hi Meredith! So glad you stopped by 🙂 Yeah for resonating across the world 🙂
Luscious list!
Thanks Kat!
