The phrase “It takes a village” is often bandied about, in reference to child-rearing, running a business, just about everything. But if you’re anything like me, you may not be a natural born collaborator.
In 2014, how could you explore what community means to you?
It might be a question of sharing the load, asking for help or signing on someone with a complementary skill set. Or it could be about a creative collaboration that pushes you to explore new ideas and media.
Where might the alchemy be?
Love this prompt and the promise it holds for 2014. 2013 was a great year for new community for me especially in regards to the Atlanta InterPlay group and the amazing people I have met through playing 🙂

The second half of the year brought great promise and collaboration in regards to my coaching business and I am loving exploring these new relationships.
I am using the internet, on-line meetings and social media in warm amazing ways that are bringing a great sense of community and depth to some long distance relationships – it is terrific.
This summer was also the first time that Joe and I participated in the Texas regional burning man event called Flipside. It was a terrific arts festival that was filled with wonderfully unique and diverse people whose creativity shone bright as the summer sky. I think it is funny that the “burn” is called “Alchemy” here in GA and that relates to the second part of the prompt. We have been talking about getting more involved in the local art community and burners are a natural extension of that.

I am already witnessing the Alchemy, the process of transmuting, in my relationships in 2013 and I’m excited about what 2014 brings.
Since it is late I will keep this short.
Happy Friday everyone,
Christine

Hi Cynthia – So sorry for the delay – I just saw this comment! Yes I'm North of Atlanta – are you on Facebook? We have an Atlanta Interplay group that gives some information and I would love to chat with you about it!
