Dear friends,

Today’s prompt and image come from Mississippi-based writer and photographer Jen Allen.
Jen writes:

The hectic pace of our lives can make it difficult to remain connected to the things and the people that matter the most to us. We get wrapped up in our work or our busyness and connection falls by the wayside.

How have you created and/or sustained connections in your life this year?

I’m loving these prompts!  Yahoo for connections and as I breath in this question in I feel so lucky and grateful.

I love to connect through hugs, stories, movement and play!

One of the ways I’ve created connections this year is through a weekly meeting I facilitate called Manifesting Mondays.

A group of ladies and I meet on Monday morning for an hour and we chat about what we want to create this week.  We check in with each other about what happened the week before and if we met our goals, is additional help needed, etc.

It’s a delightful hour where we have a cup of tea/coffee, sometimes breakfast and get motivated to start our week!

I create connections through hosting women’s retreats that you can read about here:Creating a Journey or here: Creating a Divine Time.

I also participate in a group called the Daily Creative Practice which is amazing and connects me to talented, creative people who inspire me to create!

I love this card on connection It was given to us 20 years ago when Joe & I got married

As you know this year has also been full of  InterPlay Connections which are enriching my life in amazing ways – deep gratitude.

I realized as I’m writing this blog that one of the ways I connect and have been connecting for over 15 years is with morning prayers.  I am usually up before the sun and at sunrise I stop and connect with Mother Earth, the Universe, God and send prayers to my family, my friends, my “sisters” whom I’ve retreated with for years and anyone that is on our prayer web.  It is a powerful way to connect and I am thankful to my teacher Glenda at Earthsprings for getting me in this practice.

Wrapping you around with infinite love and connections,

Christine

One of my favorite ornaments that hangs on my tree – it’s from the ceramics period when I was growing up…
